old film

These photos are from summer 2009 (and a few from spring 2010?). I use film so infrequently that a whole year can be captured before I get a roll developed.

The locations are all over Florida: Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Lakeland, and Torreya State Park.

I love the calm feel of these photographs, taken on a lazy summer evening right before sunset. I contracted poison ivy on this particular excursion, so it's unlikely I'll ever forget the importance of these images. 

My next posts will likely be in film. I love the warmth color film provides to summertime themes.
